MY STORY

The Next Chapter

As a kid who grew up in the farming communities of west central Indiana, the seed was planted for the love of basketball. Essentially, a love for all sports including football, baseball, wrestling, track and even tennis. I’d play members from our tennis team while waiting for my parents to pick me up from football practice. I just loved playing the game, no matter what it was! Being a part of a team, and the values the team taught me, carried over into my 25+ year military career.  The US Air Force gave me the opportunity to be where I am today. I am a proud father of three daughters.  I have been given the opportunity to be able to coach and teach them what I know about basketball, volleyball and softball.  The stepping stones of my experiences have made me realize the passion I have for youth basketball and what I want to do with this next chapter of life. This coupled with the love of my community led to the creation of Souris River Valley Basketball.  I am honest and will work hard to learn and grow for the sake of wanting to help all youth be better basketball players. I’d love the opportunity for your child to be a part of the Souris River Valley Basketball team and to help them develop and grow into a better player and teammate.
